Re: Branching Outward
Tue, February 26, 2008 - 8:55 AMTo me - this is a loaded question... I start asking myself questions like - "what is the product or service?" - "What is working where I am now and is it duplicatable in another city, etc?" - "Does the product or service that I am providing require my presence on an on-going basis and if so - How do I fill the void when I am not there?" - I am sure there are other questions that I can think of. To me the key is what am I selling or offering then build a plan from there based on what I am currently doing right. -

Re: Branching Outward
Thu, February 28, 2008 - 7:02 AMThere are still some important questions - will the product or service have a market or demand in the geographic area I desire to sell it in. Does it require infrastructure to sell - ie - employees, warehouses, etc. I also like simple questions like WHO WHAT WHEN WHY WHERE.
WHO will buy this product or service
WHAT do I need to do to reach the target audience
WHEN do I launch the product and WHEN will an audience buy
WHY would a consumer want my product (create a demand or is a demand there already)
WHERE do the target audiences already go to shop or satisfy the current need for similar products or services (if any).
Start with basic questions. The long and short - know your market and your target audience the best you can.
Anyone else want to jump in here?
